had a few extra bucks so I went and bought the mxps-32. from southord. the discount set though. I really do not care what the finnish looks like. then I sent kung some money to send me some bristels. so I should have enuff to make myself every posible tention bar I want.
when I was living in ky(few weeks ago) they would sweep the streets every night. but now down here in TN they dont. so I have run out of materrial, but will soon be having fun again, bending and grinding

blemishes are nothing, i don't care what my picks look like, they work, and if you get very serious you can upgrade

I tell ya, I recived them today, and you can not tell at all that they are blemished, a few of the picks have a little bit lower shine to them, well they look like my other southord picks that I have used for a few months. but I am very pleased with them. really worth the $42. I would say, and I like the case quite a bit. real nice.
One thing I took one of the picks w/t the reenforced handle's and and bent the handle back and forth th see how much stronger it was and one of the spot welds popped, so I'll have to pick up so epoxy, or jb quickweld or something of the sort. or just find someone with a spotwelder. I wish i had one. oh well, another thing to add to the wishlist.

Yeah, but just think of all the other things you can do with a welder. If he's talented, he could get into metal sculpture.

Do you think you could take a picture of the blemished picks so we can see how nice they look?

well I would love to justify buying a spotwelder, but I do not think that will happen in the near future.
I will try and see what I can do because, being away from home, without a digital camera, or even your own computer puts quite a hinderence on posting picks, the library I go to does not have a scanner. but maybe someone I know can help me out. I'll see what I can do.
but take my word, they are just fine, a new unblemished pick used for a few days would probobly compair, to the luster/shine of these.

All this talk about nice shiny picks.

Now I'll have to dump my original set into my tumbler and polish them all back up. Even bluing wears after 15 years.

I was thinking of going to the workshop tonight anyway. Maybe I'll make up a fresh new set just for the devil of it.
