What do you think of this set

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

the handles on those arent as sturdy as rivited, which personally i dont like. If you can get rivited id say go for it.
Happy pickin

Or if you can get the Falle-Safe set, go for it (If you have $250+ to spend).

Your selection is fine for beginning. As someone said, you may prefer the metal handles.

I tell ya that you can get them a bit cheeper from southord themselves. for $1.10. so ya bit better than 1.95 bu then you can get that discount for the lock pick shop.
but ya, all I ever use is a half dimond, rake, and hook. butI use a handfull of tention bars. my two cents..

well, there are a few different size's as you probobly know, thinline, stander, twist, and then longer models of them all. what I would do is just get a bunch of sweeper bristles, or something else to make tention bars out of, you know then you have your wishbone style. and then there are a few others that get a little bit more teck. but I think a good tention wrench makes picking a lock so much easyer, one that fits the keyway well, and still give you plenty of room to get the pick in there and do it's thing. but I am sort of new, so that is just my two cents...

Ghost I have to say this but you are a bit of a tool. For one you ask for help without introducing yourself. Second you are asking what picks are suited for your locks but do not say where you live. And have not even told us what locks you see the most. If you have read the frequently asked questions or at least looked at some of the posts about "what picks should I get" you will notice two main types of picks being the normal (american) picks and the slimlined (europe/Japan) picks. You should get a rake, hook, half dimond and a few tension wrenches but all this is covered in the FAQs.

Also please keep in mind if you are in the UK the most common pick in your area may well be a BS Lever lock of which the above picks will not help you.

Could you please read a bit more of the site and search around before you ask questions. This will help you become a better picker and save you time in learning this new hobby and it will help us, by not having to answer the same question a few hundred times.
