Check out my first lockpick!!

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I voted yes.

I mean this is your first pick, right? I tried to make my own before I gave in and bought a southord set.

What I used was the metal spacers in an old pocket knife of mine. They might have made nice picks, were it that I turned out any good at making them

The tension wrenches I turned out wernt so bad, if a little on the heavy side..

but the pick was -NOT- pretty

Now, I dont know how good people are at making their first picks on average, but from my personal experience, if your making ones like that on your first go, your doing brilliantly :D

keep up the good work, and who knows how good youl get at it.

I think those are a decent set of first picks. How well do they work? Did you have a pattern or some other idea to go off of?

My first attempt at making a lock pick was much worse than that!

As you continue experimenting with different methods, and find what works for you, you should be making top notch picks in no time!

I liked them. After using them for a while, you may see fit to make some changes on them. Thin this part, change this angle, etc. All in all, a good first home brew set. :)
O' gods of the lockpick, let me hear the final *click*

Why are you so negative and hostile? If his picks are bad, then maybe YOU can show how was your first homemade pick, right?

Those picks that OP presented are only in the need of a little sandpaper, that's all.
