GIANT paperclips as pick material

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

GIANT paperclips as pick material

Postby grimmy » 9 Nov 2007 22:06

OK i'm new obviously. But I do have some advice. U can get giant over sized paper clips from like office depot or something like that. Those make decent picks when hammered down and filed right. And no i dont mean paper clips this big: --------------. U can get GOOD ones this big folded:-----------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to LP101! Good post, I never knew where to find the good paper clips. I need a few to make some clips that will always stay in my wallet. There's no way I would carry my good ones in there and risk loosing them. Please title the thread accordingly next time though.

I always wondered how well those jumbo paper clips would work as picks. Nice find.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Hmm..I must try :)

on one occasion I have used a q-tip for a pick. lol I took off the cotton off course. it was a cheesy wafer cabinet lock, but using a q-tip was a little challenging. gave a good laugh to those who were watching me.
