Anyone order from defensedevices?

Has anyone dealt with http://www.defensedevices.com/lock-pick-sets-info.html I am going to be buying my first lock pick set and see they have some good prices, unsure about getting the Southord 14 piece set or the 17 thou. Any way, any word on this company??

First, welcome back to the forum.. Noticed you've been gone a while..

Now onto your question. After browsing around that site for a bit, personally, I would not purchase from there.. allot of the other items they sell are overpriced.. Plus they sell some "rather questionable" items. (quality/make of items)

Have you looked around at other places? (including sponsors?)

Mm, agreed. Purchase from lockpickshop. They are great, fast processing and delivery was super quick.

I suppose I'll order from the lockpickshop I did want to get a lockaid pick gun along with the 14 or 17 piece pick set, but they don't have it in stock right now. Well I guess I'll have to wait on that, now I just need to firgure out which kit to get. I suppose I can't go wrong with any of them thou.

It's not worth it to grab a pickgun if you're only doing this as a hobby, tbh.

In other news, some of the other items they sell caught my fancy. I recon afterhours work would be a little less stressful with an extendable baton by your side.

I already have a bunch of these for work, they are fun, just make sure you check your local laws, in some places they are considered dangerous/deadly instruments and you can get jammed up if caught. So just becareful

I have used www.newsparkling.com Reliable and a lot cheaper than buying in the UK. Must say that it would pay to order a couple of hundred GBpounds worth because of postage, but worth it because there is always a good saving. The website is a little long winded with having to send a few e-mails back and forth, but the goods arrived on time as requested and well packaged. Especially good for Auto Locksmiths. Picky.

Looks much too expensive. I like Peterson myself. Also, you can always call U.S. Lock or a similar distributor and order a catalogue for free. Then, when the catalogue comes, you can order picks from HPC, Rytan, etc. for I belive 40% of the list price.

Most generally tools are not discounted. The top of the page may say 40% but tools are full price. It's not worth the hastle of dealing with US Lock for a hobbiest. That place is like a whole bunch of jackasses rolled up in a giant moron.

I wish I knew of a Rytan distributor that sold to hobbyists other than Assured (horribly overpriced, small selection) or Rninger (painstakingly slow service)
