as many of yo uknow i went on R&R leave from iraq back home for 2 weeks. when i did this i took all my locks that i had here home and left all but 7 of them.
i am having a large shipment of all sorts of locks shipped up here within the next week or so but this is irrelivant.
a few hours before i got on the bus to go to the airport my bogotas from raimundo. i was afraid customs would take them so i left them here and now that i am back i have been messing with them. not counting the few they have already worked on in the field i have 7 practice locks.
a kwikset
a defiant
a master padlock cylinder
a master doorknob cylinder
and 3 master 140s(2 were found together and 1 was purchased ages ago)
in a matter of seconds i was able to open 5 of the 7, the kwikset, defiant, the master padlock cylinder and oddly 2 of the 3 master 140s(the 2 i found together at the burn pit). i failed on the master 140 i bught and the master doorknob cylinder
i just wanted to share my success and ask a few questions.
i have never found any post explaining exactly how to use the bogotas so here is what ive got. someone once mentioned using them like you have parkinsons. so i did. i tightened up my army muscle till it shook then took that shake to the next level and really jiggled the crap out of it. my hand only moves about 2 to 3 inches but with a tightned arm that can get tiring quick.
as for the turning tool, i start with my finger laying on the tool. i insert the pick only 1 pin then begin my jiggle. as i push the pick into the lock and jiggle at the same time i add pressure and once the pick is all the way in i release most of the pressure and begin pulling the pick back out. as the pick comes out i am adding and releasing pressure at will just to c what happens and it usually opens before i get the pick all the way out... usually
that is my story... as for the questions.
can anyone explain in better words how they use the bogotas and give some success stories just cause they are fun.
this is an amazing tool kudos to raimundo(as if he hasnt had enough kudos already) and thanks again
