First homebrew success!

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I figured I'd post a slightly alternate idea for making a tension wrench. I was looking around for a good material to craft myself a decent TOK wrench for this American Lock ASL40 that I picked up. the wrenches that I have are too skinny for American Locks and thus slip and jam the plug - no bueno!

Anyway... I looked around and found some old cotter pins... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Split_pin

.. and Using just a pliers and a couple of different files I managed to make myself two tension wrenches from the same pin. I bent each side to make a TOK and normal wrench.


I'll post a picture or dos when we pull in. We're not allowed to plug personal electronics into the computers for OPSEC reasons...
