Making picks

Postby iek » 17 Sep 2004 13:17

Hi, Im new to lockpicking.I made a half-diamond out of a razor blade, they work pretty good, not flimsey or anything. And a tension wrench out of a allen-wrench that i grinded down with a dremal.I recently opend my first lock with them(a outside shed-door lock)Now i can open the thing in near 2 seconds.thing is, i realized i only need to set 1 pin in the veary back, and it opens right up :? . Anyway, I recently bought 2 hacksaw blades since evryone says their the best to use.I was wondering if someone culd take some pictures of thier picks next to a ruler..or give me some calcs on how big they shuld be(both if you can),Thanks
Oh yea, i own both a grinder, and a dremal, i prefer to use the dremal tho becouse it gives me more controll over what im doing...

Making picks for the first time is really kind of trial and error. You make a couple, get good at it, make better ones. It just takes time.

Your posible getting access to the acutual locking system and opening it by sliding the little catch along, is it a padolock or an acual wall mounted lock?
