I have decided to seriously attempt lock picking after multiple years on this site

I have previously been only installing and servicing numerous locks and i thought it would be helpful to start picking (to rekey those cylinders I can shim). I'm beginning to acquire some tools, one of my buddies recommended a short hook, half diamond... Anyone have any other recommendations for picks/tension tools???
Thanks,
Ivan
This question pops out quite often, so you'll see a ton other threads giving opinions on what to get and what not.
My opinion is that even a set made of few pieces is good to start with, like a tension wrench, hook and half diamond or even just a tension wrench and hook is enough to practice picking on a lot of different pin tumbler locks.
You can either buy a set or make your own starting from some saw blades or sweeper bristles, a file or dremel,
templates found here and some patience
Have fun
