Had short of cash and wanted something good to hold my lock while I picked it so I got the next best thing

To PICK a lock all you need is self control, patience, endurance and a pick...
To OPEN a lock all you need is impulsivity, anger, intolerance and a sledgehammer...

Did you cut a mortice in a 2x4? or is that something else?
Looks pretty good. I used a door handle display from a hardware store to hold locks for a while, but it was super heavy and cumbersome, so I ended up with a vice.
