Im doing some research on the best way to go about confronting spool and mushroom pins, and a lot of them say that raking with a bogota pick is very efficient, but I haven't seen a thread or manual that explains why. To my very limited understanding, and pick with several peaks would do just as well. It could be that my understanding is the case, and they just recommend bogotas because they're common, but just in case the specific design (high peaks, wide valleys) is beneficial, I'd like to try to figure out why. Thanks!
