Filing down warded picks?

I did the same thing. I did get it to work, but you have to really put some torque on it. The picks are pretty resilient, and they will get stuck sometimes, but with a little trying they do work. Although I was doing it on a lock with only one lever, so that might make a difference...

Thanks snake_wrangler. I'll post my experience once my locks come. I ordered two of them and went with a real cheap deal on Amazon (from Amazon user) and it was the wrong Master Lock. Fortunately, I was able to use those locks to test a very unique forced entry technique. Interesting name, bytheway, done any snake wrangling?

Update: I ordered my Master 22's a couple months ago but accidentally shipped them to a relative. Got them back now and found I could not get a binder clamp handle to work; better to just file down the key or use a filed street sweeper bristle/wiper insert. Took the lock apart and found that there is just a small spring wire holding the hasp shut, omigosh just about anything can open this thing. Does anyone know of some particularly interesting/challenging warded locks I can try or are they all this easy?

Oh my gosh, thanks for the wake-up call Gordon! Have some carried over quasi-antiques fitted with locks from my stay in Europe, might want to give a crack at these, but am unsure what kind of lock they are, any ideas? I couldn't agree more with Gordon's signature, I know a confident amount about some things, but when I go to older locking mechanisms, I feel like a dolt. Are they all just barrel keys I can use an L-shaped bar on?
Sorry to photobomb the thread, but I felt like this would be better than starting a new one.

Note: I only have the key to one, it'd be fun to make the other two, but I'd like to get good at picking them first!

I just got a set of the warded picks my self. And I also have the master 22 lock.
I had to file half of the length of the tips off to get them to work.
Now they work fine on the master 22.
filing the tips down lets the picks go into the lock a little further.
Allowing it to reach the spring bar.
Which in the case of the #22 is really close to the top of the lock.
