What would be the ideal metal for custom picks?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Get some shrink tubing for electrical use and put a layer over your
plasti dip .
It will look and feel pretty much the same but have no bubbles.
If you have a vise, you can tape some shoe box card board
over the jaw faces and gently press the flats of the handles while the tubing
is till warm and pliable to make them nice and smooth sided. :)

I definitely will be trying plastic dip for the handles. I ended up buying some Starett feeler gauge on Amazon for material. It actually just came in today and I think it'll work pretty well. I don't have quite all I need to make them, but the rest of it is under the Christmas tree. Once I get them made I'll definitely post results.
