When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.
Does anyone know of a company that makes these metal inserts for wiper manufacturers? There has to be a better way to get them then by going to the junkyard. Thanks for your time.

They have all the wiper inserts you want at Walmart, they even come in a protective rubber membrane you have to rip off to get to the insert.
I want to order them from a company that makes them. Ive called a few wiper companies and they had no idea what I was talking about. I would rather deal with the supplier and just order them outright.

Just how many do you need man? Wipers are probably made in some factory in China, it's not like you're gonna call Allied Steel in Pittsburgh and they'll mail you 500 inserts in the mail for $50 bucks.
Maybe instead of asking suppliers specifically for wiper inserts, maybe it would be better to figure out what kind of stainless steel it is and go to a metal supply place and ask for it by metal type rather than application type.
Maybe Trico can sell to you direct, http://www.tricoproducts.com/Drivers/Wi ... perRefills but I'm not sure they would call it a wiper insert, I find that's more of a locksport term.. ask them about the stainless steel they put inside the wiper blade, so they'll know what you mean.

Wiper Inserts, to a wiper manufacturer, is the rubber part that actually wipes the windshield. The dealership I work for sells the inserts at a much cheaper price than the wiper blades, which is the rubber part, wiper springs, and the metal part that actually holds the inserts/springs in place.
Most places will have no idea what you are talking about if you ask about wiper springs, and will hand you the rubber piece if you want an insert. Think Wiper Insert is, as Squelchtone stated, a locksport term.

I pick up all my wiper blades at the local auto parts store. It is best to check their trash cans on a rainy day. I go by Autozone and get 30or 40 at times. All free.
I got permission from the manager at the one nearest me and was told to take all I wanted. I do not think of them as trash, but as obtainium, or recycled steel.

I have done the junk yard and auto parts method.. both are good sources... you may also try or local oil change/state inspection type shop.. Ask if they will throw them in a bucket for you. bring them donuts or a pizza around lunch time when you pick them up.
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...
