Hello, I need to find a "How to SPP Informational" guide

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Hello, I need to find a "How to SPP Informational" guide

I am just learning this craft(and it is definitely a skill-set) and I need some good info on "How to " type of techniques that are basic for a beginner to start with. Most importantly a tutorial on SPP. I think would be the most valuable to me.

I just started a few weeks ago, I know everyone says it but practice practice practice. I have 3 padlocks that I must SPP at least 50 times a day each. I'm not kidding I SPP the hell out of those things. Believe it or not just a few days ago no matter how much I read about it I actually FELT the binding order. Now its so addictive I cant seem to put locks down, the side of my right hand middle finger is almost raw from working the pick so much all day. Trust me, when you first really feel it you will know what you are doing. In the mean time if you have a bit of a budget I recommend getting a book from Amazon called Visual Guide To Lock Picking. It reads like a textbook and has some real solid information and pictures to help you understand. Another tip I learned the hard way, get some quality lock picks. It will pay off in the end, I suggest you look up Peterson Picks. Take things at your own pace and remember that practice on locks is priceless. :D

For a down-and-dirty book that is quite short and to the point, you can not do without Solomon's Lockpicking Detail Overkill

Just when you finally think you have learned it all, that is when you learn that you don't know anything yet.

Also if you want an amazing practice lock...PM the member MrWizard. He sells a great 7 pin practice lock with grub screw rekeying and tons of extra pins, springs, spools, serrated. Its a hell of a deal and the only 7 pin practice lock I know of. Just got mine in the mail today and I am amazed.

Once you find a lock that you can repin (any cheap deadbolt will do) I recommend going through digital_blues Beginner's Lockpicking Exercise. This is IMO the best way to learn how to SPP. Start off easy and work your way up.
