Bogota

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

The metal inserts from windscreen wipers are perfect spring steel for this sort of thing.

Scrap yards are great for this, but the best ones I've got I snagged from the mechanics bay of a bus depot. They have to change the wipers every service. They had piles of the things in there. Pay a visit with a big smile, and maybe a can of beer or 2

I have used windscreen wiper inserts recently and they have come out not so bad but you could always try a hacksaw blade but I heard there aren't many good results from it.

Here is a pic of a rake I made out of one, it works not so bad but I did make it for a Rim Cylinder.

I have always found success visiting local machinists, or metal fabricating shops to be a very nice source for scrap materials. Acquired some titanium rid stock to make plug followers one time.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
