So, I make my own picks with files on bristles, and a dremmel on hacksaw blades but here's a question for powertool-ologists out there. Knowing a rotary tool would cause a bristle to become brittle, would using a mouse sander for the sanding and polishing steps do the same? After I file my picks shape out, I sand them from 400, 600, 800, 1000 and 2000 grit to get that shine. It takes quite some time, so I'm just curious to see if a mouse sander would be a decent way to reduce production time.
If nobody has tried it, stand by for some lab results.
