looking for a manufactured pick like this one.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

looking for a manufactured pick like this one.

On the left is a pick I bought and the right is one I made. Where can I find one like what I made. Any manufacturers make picks similar to the one I so poorly made? I ask because the southord on the right feels too big And clumsy in most locks.

I started with that southord short hook and I was able to open quite a few locks. The thickness is .025" which is on the big side and it has a larger shank hight. I might suggest getting a thinner southord slimline. I dont have my calipers with me, but I believe it is thinner and it has a much thinner shank. It does bend easier, but if you are careful it is quite a good pick. If you wanna get picks from somewhere else, sparrows has picks that are at .015, or you could get a thinner peterson.

Shop around until you find the picks that you like best :D

How about sanding well the pick on the left, until it feels right in the keyway?

If you prefer an already small one, as Krover15 said, look for euro or slim picks.

Cheers :)

PS please don't post this picture and related questions all around the forum, I've found it three times already. We try to keep the forum clutter free. Thanks.

IF you like skinnier picks, maybe give Rytans a go?
