Does raimundo still make BOGOTAS

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Does raimundo still make BOGOTAS

Postby joshuachristy78 » 23 Jan 2016 23:39

I have read many many post and searched forums, I found that http://www.serepick.com/custom-tools.html did sell his picks. But every one is sold out, or out of stock. I sent Raimundo a PM but it just sits in my outbox (What does that mean?) I would like to have some from the master craftsman, Much like a Van Gogh, sure you can get or make a reproduction, but an original is better. Sorry if this is in the wrong section or I overlooked the search. I have been digging on here for some time. Any help would be appreciated or if I could just get a message to Raimundo. Thanks for your time in responding to this post.

Thanks Squelchtone I thought maybe that meant maybe I was blocked or they where not taking PM. That clears up some confusion. I have PMed him only in the last few days. I just thought the sitting in the outbox was like email. OUTBOX that never went had issues, So once it clears you at-least know it was received. Ill give it some time I see he hasn't been on for a few weeks as you stated.
Thanks for your reply

To my knowledge he's not currently making picks for anyone.

Last time I spoke to him he mentioned that if/when he got back to making a few sets, they were already spoken for.

I'd suggest finding another source for the time being. Maybe we'll get lucky down the road.

I sent him a PM about Bogotas a month ago and got no answer.
I finally ordered from another source.

I'd love an original Raimundo bogota. Sadly I learned a while back that he doesn't make them any more as MBI said.. Ah well, we can always hope that he'll come back one day - I'd imagine that he's got requests for orders coming out of his ears :).

Since he's not making them anymore would it be ok to ask if anyone had one to share as a pattern? So I could make one similar for myself.

I had also reached out to Rai sometime ago and his response to me was he no longer makes them. I did pick up some from Serepick and I am quite happy with them. When they work, they work quick and I really like them as tension tools in American Locks as well as some other locks my regular tension tools slip down in when using BOK tension. Great add to any kit in my opinion.
