Carbon fiber picks

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Carbon fiber picks

Postby sisk » 26 Jul 2016 13:42

I stumbled across some 3d printed picks on thingiverse yesterday and, of course, laughed. I mean, really, plastic picks? Come on.

Then today I stumbled across carbon fiber filament and got to thinking: carbon fiber picks....that could work. The thing is that carbon fiber filament is expensive. So out of curiosity, has anyone tried carbon fiber picks? Is it even worth ordering the filament to try to print a set?

Wasnt Datagram doing some research to see if you could pick a lock and truly not leave behind a trace.. Trying picks made of different materials to see if they would leave scratches on the pins..
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...

Yes, but even the carbon fiber left marks.
