Starting Out - Made Some Tools =)

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I've recently been bit by the lockpicking bug due to a friend of mine and have some sparrow's picks on order.
However, due to living in New Zealand, the shipping takes forever and I needed to get my fix before then!

Luckily my work involves laser cutters, so I decided to cut some out.
Even though laser cutting isn't the best process, and I had to use 304 grade stainless, they didn't turn out too bad, albeit a bit too bendy.
Decided not to temper them and just slap some heatshrink on the handles and have fun =)

I also decided to cut out the logo of another forum I'm on and give one to my friend who got me hooked too haha.

And some TOK wrenches in 3 different thicknesses of scrap we had at work

I'm looking forward to learning more and for my sparrows picks and practice locks to arrive =)

Nice job!

Two recommendations - first, sand the picks so they lose sharp edges and slag from the cutting, and second, you can cut teeth into the TOK tension wrenches. It can help hold them in place better when tensioning.

I will work on cleaning up the edges today just with some sandpaper.
Also my notched to wrench does have some teeth on it, they're just really small, should have made them deeper I think.

Outstanding job, must be a real time saver to have access to a laser cutter.
