Oh, that's not necessary. Actually, even though I was bragging I want people to realize what they can do if they try. Those were made with a belt sander, a common 5" bench grinder and a regular hand drill.
Me too, I thought I'd try and help out so that other people can learn from my mistakes, (22 pce set) I wish I could learn from others, it usually ends up costing me money

Thank you.
Anymore comments on my picks can be made in the thread where they appear. Let's not steal any more of Chunk's thunder. He's made some excellent picks here and we shouldn't get too far from that.

I'm glad we inspired you to make more. The real inspiration comes from you though. The feeling you get when you look at what comes off the grinder. The shine when you polish the picks, and see them shine.
But more importantly, feeling the picks you've made open locks. That's really inspirational.
Good luck,

Good work Chunk, very nice picks especially the tips. But I'd make the handle part a bit bigger next time if I were you, as I find such picks somewhat hard to control sometimes, especially when you're doing heavily warded keyways where you have to work at an angle.
And Romstar, do you have any news on those picksets you wanted to make with the big fat handles, Dominion style? I'd love to get my hands on something like that.
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

PickPick,
The old style Dominion handles are being worked on. I am trying a few different materials right now including the original cast aluminum.
There is an epoxy/polymer compound which moulds easily and dries to almost exactly the same hardness as the aluminum. I haven't gotten a durrometer reading on this stuff yet, but from playing with it it machines and behaves exactly like aluminum.
They are a coming.
