When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I am in the process of moving from the west coast to the east coast and have been away from the computer for a while! :) I hope to actually finish modding my mini-maglite sometime after I am settled in... I have found that some super-brite LEDs are brighter than others, so to those of you trying them out you may find the same thing... One of those 15 dollar LED flashlights found in auto parts stores or walmart may have a brighter LED if you cannot find them seperate... I have been using my mini-mag with a super-brite yellow LED during the long trip across country. (I am now on the East Coast instead of the west... long story... ...well, not really) Still using AA at the moment, but if I get some time soon I would like to find some watch batteries of the right size and some other parts to experiment... I have the guts of some old flashlights that may help me out... If I get something that works well, I will post some pix :) In the meantime I will probably be away from the computer until I get broadband somehow...

I did manage to pick a Medeco SafeMark lock on a motel safe! That was interesting! First time I have ever touched a medeco, but I have a feeling they are not the hardest medeco on the planet cuz I picked it multiple times... I have video of the lock after being picked, and of the key, but no actual proof that I picked it.. I will try to post that in the future.. :)

Another note, those of you who travel alot probably already know, but most of the hotels and motels are using card access locks... I encountered a lot of KABA, UNICAN, and other elctronic card locks and may be inteersted in learnnig more about these when I get settled. They look interesting. :)

Well, I'll be back online as soon as I can, but it might be a little while... Keep on pickin' and postin' :)

Welcome back :) Just a reminder that links aren't allowed in signatures, even though it is a link to an LP101 site.

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....
