When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Thats a decent set that will serve you for many years if you devote enough time to learn how to use it properly. Just go easy on the tension wrench.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Good beginner set, and a very good starting point for making your own from templates... nothing better than improving on a proven design.

Yeah... I'll echo what has previously been said.
Nice selection of wrenches and picks... oh, and those rubber grips that nobody on this forum seems to like hehe.
Seriously though, it's a good set.

Its a nice set but have a look at individual picks as well. might be cheaper to get a 4pick set and add the picks u want. so far ive not needed my ball picks and as Illusion said the rubber handles are a bit :S so why pay got a set with them in.
Might also be worth ordering a spare short hook and half diamond, there the ones the beginners seem to abuse the most and bend.
All the Best

the only reason why i wouldnt personaly perchase them is because of the rubber handles. Im sure there has beed debate in the past present and future about handles and thats not where im going here. Its just a personal preference. The other thing is you're not going to use most of those picks in the beginning. But its nice to have them and from what i see on lockshop its the best bang for the buck.
here is a set around the same range as your looking with better handles

If you have a dremmel or a bench grinder i would highly recommend making your own. all you really need in the beggining is:
lifter hook, A rake i would reccomend the S or the L,Maybe a half diamond, and ofcourse some kind of tension wrench be it a screw driver or one that is made by you.

oh no, ok Before anyone flames him ill tell him
Dont pick locks u or anyone else relies on. EVER picking does damage locks ESPECIALLY When your new at it as you will rake more. feel free to add me on MSN if you have any questions about anything and ill try to help but i am far from an expert.

You mean the pre-generared generic "Don't pick locks you rely on or you'll get haemorrhoids" type of reply?

no this one
If you're looking for locks to pick, buy some but, DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON
I repeat DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON, they can and will break, then your house/car/safe/chasity belt is vulnerable or unable to be opened (think: emergency situation).
DISCLAIMER:repeating anything written in the above post may result in dismemberment, arrest, drug and/or alcohol use, scars, injury, death, and midget obsession.
