Bogota Rake - Wow!

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Its funny about raking. I too for the longest time could not rake worth a . Pin by pin and I am an excellent picker but with a rake de nada.

So I said enough is enough on an american standard I just couldn't get to pick in the right direction (wrong direction was cake). So I grab a rake and 3 passes and the lock was open. Well I decided that I was going to explore the raking a bit more and in no time became good at it.

Not sure what the turning point is because I could not rake worth a and then all of a sudden I can. Had nothing to do with tools. I think it has to do with the sensory knowledge you gain from picking pinxpin. This eventually translates into how to rake properly

Sorry for a dumb question, but what's a Bogota pick?

and I use a hook most of the time, fyi. but that may change; the only other pick I made turned out to be a key extractor

friends garage

Asked to open a friends garage, yesterday, I had trouble raking too, I think it was too much beer interfering with my sense of feel.
