My First Attempt

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Great job on the picks, but I'm curious as to how useful they are. They look very big to me and it seems like they wouldn't fit into most smaller keyways. Have you tried picking different locks with them yet? What were your results?

No, not yet. I will be going to the local locksmith sometime this weekend, so maybe I'll end up with more locks. Up until then, I will continue picking a kwikset deadbolt (personal best= 5 seconds). It may be junk, but hey, at least it's a lock.

Okay, heres my list

1. Use the right size wiperblade insert
2. Use a proper vice (Two pieces of wood and a couple of G-Clamps wont cut it)
3. Make sure your dad gets his tools from anywhere but Wilkinsons (PLEHH)

Actually, emry paper caused the tips of my fingers to get really tender for about 2 days, I didn't notice until later, and my dad's dremel wasn't completely defective. I knew it was on its way out before i started the project, but it was dead before I finished.
