Although when I first started out making picks, mine looked just like anyone else's that just started out making picks... but I'll tell ya, the picks I make today are far better than a cheap set of SouthOrds. They do take a lot of work to make, but I enjoy it. In fact, it might be just about half the fun of this hobby. As well, there is a sense of satisfaction that comes from homemade picks. They're beautiful, you can make them any shape you like, you get the joy of working with your hands, and... did I mention they're beautiful?
