When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I have thought about this often, as I like to carry my set in a pocket, and it came in a leather case.
I have a HPC set, but I would guess that the case is fairly similar to other companies cases.
I have never had a problem with bending the picks, and the main concern that I had about the case wearing out has been a non-issue so far.
I carry the picks in a front pocket so that I don't sit on them.

I came across these when I ordered some Peterson picks last week. I didn't think much of them when I was looking at the site, but they put three of the picks in one of them, and they're actually pretty nice. They are adjustable for longer items as well.

i've a nice metal case for the picks i use the most that is a cigar tube. i'll sort out the brand tomorrow, but long story short, go to a good tobbaconist, and if you dont' smoke cigars (which is a reasonably unhealthy, yet very relaxing, if expensive habit), look at their walk in humidor for somethign that comes in a tube you like, and either spring for the 5~10$ for the smoke and give it to a friend, or ask the shopkeeper if they have any of the tubes of that style or can save one for you in exchange for a pint or refferal.

I've sourced some fairly strong plastic casing, used to store chest drain tubes. Cut to length and with the bottom shaped to fit the bottom of a SouthOrd pick case it does a good job and is strong enough to stand up to being stood on (let alone bent in a pocket). I can post a picture if anyone wants.
[One day, I'm going to apply for the Advanced section, just to see if I get accepted....]

Hey unjust.
the 10 round paintball tubes are plastic, and about same size as cigar tubes.
you dont see them much anymore with everyone using 87156 round hoppers!
but if you can find em still they work for lots of things.
and they are easier to cut down to size than a metal cigar tube.
most are clear, so you can see what color paint,
but they have stealthy black too.
