So lukes talking about a bigger HALF diamond.

So i_want_to_pick, the diagram you posted is absolutely correct in terms of proper terminology. Whereas luke has chosen to call a big half diamond a 'full diamond'.

I thought so, but wasn't sure. Could get confusing for newbies like me when the same name is used for two different picks, or a different name for a bigger version of the same pick.

In my opinion, the large diamond that SouthOrd supplies in their sets like the SP-06 or the big one in the 22-Piece Slim Line set (C2010), is a full diamond. Yeah yeah yeah, truly not a 'full diamond' but a full diamond wouldn't be practical anyways. So I call the large diamond the full. The smaller and more common, the Half-Diamond.

I am sure that the reason two identical pieces are in the set is because these are very popular among all the varieties and they include an extra one so you can bend or break off one and stillhave a back up

That might be the reason, to have a spare one but then again it might not.
