Fastest pick

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I dont think thier is a thing as a fast pick. I would say raking but it is not 100% effective. And also it depends alot on your skill on picking locks. And to pick locks you have to have alot of patience so if a lock you just started picking you dont know how to pick then you cant use a fast pick technique. If you still want to use a fast pick then use bogota, in my opinion they are the best but you have to learn to feel and play with them to be able to work with it. :D

depends

Postby raimundo » 17 May 2007 8:16

it depends on the lock, the bitting and the picker, then the tool. if your a nubie, forget it, only experience will help and with that comes knowlege of the locks, which respond to which technique, tool etc.

I hope this doesn't turn into one of those, "How fast does a bump key work?" type of thread.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

How fast does a bump key work?

but yea he sounds like he's trying to jack the neighbor's house the way he says it.. I know nothing about it but I need to pick a lock in about 10 seconds.

Ya it does sound fishy but have you ever thought he is trying to impress someone or something? I mean ya it is possible he is up to bad stuff, but it is always possible that he isn't. Sorry but I just had to play devil's advocate.

ya know,

Postby raimundo » 19 May 2007 9:57

ya know, if there was a universal instant pick there would be nothing to talk about on this whole forum, it could all be summed up in one post.

By looking your profile, I'd say that you could quit spamming the forum with these useless posts. I mean, just look what I quoted: There is no information, no opinion, no nothing. It is just a pointless remark without a start and without an end.

And just to be sure, I will say that you should not take this as an insult or anything like it, but take it under consideration.

yeah, a couple of us have been on this. JackNco apparently pmed him and the guy agreed to cut it out for the time being. No clue as to why it started, but in the time since it did his post count has gone from 0 to 25, now back down to 20...

Agreed.... anyone who wants to pick fast ought to want to practice (for the fun of it) or else should google thier answers... All the info is out there, and anyone too lazy to get it themselfs ought not to know it.

Shrub wrote:I want to know why you need to pick locks fast?

I advise no further advice until this is explain satisfactory,

A non picker wanting to pick locks fast usually means up to no good,

I have to ask that members do not take on the role of moderator or admin, you are here to contribute to the forum nothign else, we as moderators and admin are the ones who pm people about board attitude not you,

Instead what you have done vcan be seen as impersonateing a mod which is agaisnt the site rules with a ban being the punishment,

I know well was meant but this is not right as now i feel i can not pm him in an official way as some member has already messed up relations and mixed up a noob by giving the impression he was having an official warning,

I post this here as i do not believe a pm to those concerned would have much effect on anybody else doing this so make a deal out of it now in public,

Regular members warning noobs via pm?? your out of order on that one,

The other statement that worries me is the one Schyler has made about a few of you on this one?? whats that supposed to mean, have a few of you been pm'ing him??

If the OP is still here and reading this maybe you would like to copy and paste the pms you have had regarding this and pm them to me as i think it sounds like people are getting ideas above their station,
