How to create a nice pick template

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Below is the same message I sent GiGz, by request i've posted it up here. With some effort you can use these instructions with other programs as well. technik was able to use "Paint Shop Pro", though not all the buttons were the same.

Mine is the 3150 as well. go into the lexmark 3100series all-in-one center. go to saved images and bring up one of the images from the crypto site(the link to the pictures is below) and double click on it.

Then crop the picture so it is only as wide as the ruler(6 inches)
to do this you click and drag the box to the width of the ruler and hight you want. then click the scissors on the left.

Now at the top left of the screen click on "IMAGE" its beside "edit" ,go down the menu and click on "image size". Change "UNIT" to inches and then change "width" to 6 inches , click OK.

Next go to "FILE" and go down and click on "Print Preview" at the bottom left set "Print image at" to 70%.

Now at the top left of the same screen click "Print Setup" then "Properties". Set quality and color to whatever you want, then click on "Print Layout", set "Layout" to "Borderless" then "Paper size" to 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Click "OK" then "OK" agian.

Now PRINT.
This should give you scale pictures.

Matt

To save the images "left click" on them first to get the bigger image, then "right click" on it and "Save Image As" to whatever folder you want.

he may not have the picks you want. It is much easier, and less hassle just printing images. If you can do it properly, you also eliminate problems with tracing, as it doesnt give a very accurate picture (could be 0.5 -1mm bigger than real object)

If you can get it right, go with printing.
