Not a bad idea Clead. You'll have to let us know how it goes.
I like the brazing brass is a neat idea, but I think the problem with any idea that adds material to the steel is you don't want to sacrifice feedback, durability, or mobility inside the lock. In the hands of someone who is reasonably skilled, picking a lock one time isn't going to put an more wear on the lock then inserting the key a couple times.
What was this thread about, performance coatings huh? Roll up your sleeves and get to sanding.
