its basiclaly a small speaker then a long rod thing along, at the end there is a small screen. here u c a small diagram in the shape of the lock, you see a new picture every 2 seconds.

Stick a piezo transducer on the lock, shove in a tension wrench, and tell the customer to stand back.

Way, WAY back. Then, hit the sonics. Use sub-sonic, not ultra sonic. The low frequency will resonate better, and you won't have all the dogs in the neighborhood howling.

If you don't open the lock, you'll probably break a window at the very least.

That was the entire point. Sometimes good ideas just don't translate well into practice. Now, if there were some way to localize the effect, it may work a bit better. Still though, I don't think it's a great thing to try. Just think of your ears.

Oh god I LOVE video games.

Here is the scoop. Yes, you can do something like this, is it useful? No not really.

If you blow the lock, you have to blow the edge of the door and frame. Otherwise you get a nasty mess of metal that might not let the door open.

This was discussed before, and as I said then, a binary explosive compond is a good solution to blowing the lock and door.

Don't ask how to make it, because I sure won't be telling you. Additionally, use of things like this by the untrained often results in severe injury or DEATH.

Yeah, it's called infrasound. Those large organs in catholic churches are able to produce it on a smaller level, causing feelings of eerieness or depression. It's also present in cars with high-end subwoofers, and at a low enough frequency/ high enough volume, it can cause loss of bowel control, nausea, seizures, intestinal damage, and sometimes sudden death.

[/quote]Ok, a huge part of my life is pyrotechnics...I LOVE fire. I'm pretty sure if you use an explosive on a lock...it will blow the knob in such a way that it may come off and hurt someone (and most of all, perhaps hurt the lock ...jk).

A putty compound would probably work nicely...but they have their flaws...and it nothing that a n00b should play with WHAT SO EVER . -throws some putty against the wall like darts- By the way, I'm not talking about C4, please don't cram C4 into a door knob because it has 5 pins that rebel against your hand x_____x

Anywho...sorry for trailing off about explosives...I'm only human ^_^
