I have a knife sharpener called WORKSHARP. It uses narrow sanding belts of various grits. I tried it on a new hook for Peterson. Started with the most aggressive belt. Then moved to the higher grit numbers. They sell even higher grit belts than what came with the sharpener. Took me about 2 minutes to smooth and polish the pick. I need higher grit belts to really make the pick shine. But I was impressed in how well it worked and how fast it was.
