i have two in my wallet, its amazing how useful they can be, you can use them to pick the most simple locks, so i measured one! they're barely 1mm wide and are about 450mm long.

have you seen the thread with photos of my picks, they are quite small and some are made as small as the length of a key, they can be pinned to cloth, and there is a very secure way of palming a set by putting them under a finger ring (jewelry).

Im on an imac machine at this cafe, so it dosent give me the link code, but by using search, 'raimundo' found 90 references, the one that is about 10 down the page right now, is a thread calle 'raimundos picks' by romstar, who posts pictures. Varjeal also has reviewed them and chucklz gives them good marks. Some others also.

I typed raimundo into the subject box, not the author box. and the safty pin in the photos is the best reference to how long those are, each pick has a tensor on the handle end, and they come in sets of two, rake and diamond usually, The ones in the photos are longer than the ones I refer to palming securely under the band of a ring, just two pieces that are two picks and two tensors, on two pieces of metal, that nest together because they were both bent together at the same time. I have one of the small pieces in my pocket right now. I think this one is just a few millimeters longer than a schlage 5 pin key. For you magicians, putting something under a ring is more secure than using sticky resin or skin gripping it. In the case of these picks, usually I put the tensor ends in as far as the bend.

I didn't notice that, haha. I really hope that's a typo, because if it isn't, I'm going to feel very bad.

along the same lines I made my first pick (a small diamond) and tension wrench from pinless jig saw blades. they are thin enough for nearly any lock and the spring steel is strong. finsihed they measure 3 inches long and I put a short 3/8" end on the wrench to make them a perfect size for my wallet.

Good work dude!
there is a thread on the MAG lite case idea some where on this site- I think posted in late 2003 early 2004. I was able to get the dual functionality down with a substitute LED and watch battry, but the rattling noise was a drawback and the pick length limitation wasn't a plus either.
