trouble making a torque wrench...

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Does anyone actually have names for their tools? I dont mean like short hook, or Mr. Rake, but say, John, Sally, Balthazar ect?

Wiper blade inserts will actually withstand a cold-bend of well over 90 degrees. The failure point is much closer to 180 degrees, i.e. trying to duplicate the bend in a ladies' hair pin. Two pairs of pliers can be used to cold form pretty much any shape you like, as long as the radius isn't too small. I've only broken about two or three strips by trying to basically fold the strip in two.

Projects: There are (3) different types, with differing widths and thicknesses to my knowledge. The widest ones have not been a problem for me so far, but you could flatten the end of a wrench with a hammer before bending, if slippage is a concern. Another trick, is to rough up the edges of the wiper-blade wrench, where it enters the keyway, which also prevents slippage.

HTH.
