I Issue a Pick making Challenge!

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Your a good guy Shoe's, if you need to vent PM me sometime or hit me up. Don't feel like you have to be along in your struggles ever, especailly with the community to back you up mate.

We still have your back, so just focus on getting better and for goodness sake, keep owning those locks along the way.

Cheer's to a speedy recovery buddy! :)

That cannot have been very easy for you Schuyler, or much fun to have to write.

I look forward to getting to know you better when you are well again and are able to get back to the group - Where I hope you will read through this thread to read all the kind things people have been saying about you

Dear Friends,
Here are a few photos from the day we got to try out all of the submissions.

all of the picks were tested against the same locks:

thanks to eric343 for the nice photos:

this one was taken with a very old camera from Schuyler's camera collection. Beer and lock picking, a winning combination:

some of you know this guy, I believe he's using Legion303's hook pick:

The score cards are being tabulated, results will be out soon.

Dude... who entered my pick in the comp? lol It's the third one from the left.

I can tell from the slanted handel design and the tang.

Here's a picture I took out the "Newbie Vault"

hehe - I couldn't resist coming back to clear up LN's question.

You remember the picks I bought from you like.....2+ years ago? Just a nice hook and a nice medeco rake? Well, you shipped them to Austin for me because I had just moved down there, but I had already left by the time they arrived (transience, another symptom :P) and my friend had only just finally mailed them to me about a week before we began the competition.

I think we were all a little bummed that you invented the competition but didn't have enough time to submit anything, so I donated that one. I wanted to make sure you were in the running, buddy. :)

Hey, folks,

Quick update: The picks are in my hands as we speak being packed to go out in the mail tomorrow. I had to wait as I'm sending something else along to scorche with the competition picks, but now I have it all together and it goes out tomorrow!
