Falle Picks.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I use mozilla as well. Basically I get the weightloss image as well I think it is related to viewing the image when linked to by another site. If you select view image and then press reload it will show up for you.
Consider me inactive or lurker.

I am using Mozilla Firefox 0.8 and I too get a weight loss image. A quick peek at crypto.com shows that Prof. Blaze takes his intellectual property seriously. People, please post URL's for anything on www.crypto.com.

In reference to what Chucklz posted, this also gives credit where it is due.

yea, the image has been cached on your computer. clear your temporary internet files and you won't be able to see them...

problem is you hotlinked the images from another site, and that other site doesn't like people hotlinking images, so they make it so if the image is hotlinked, a different image comes up instead. usually the image says "don't steal bandwidth" or something along those lines.

still didn't work i_want_to_pick when i went view pic, but i saw the picture on your link. Thanks for clearing that p 4 me. I think the hardest thing about making these tools would be getting a practical width of the two 'fingers' or 'wrench bits.' Any one got any sizes to use? the rest of the tool would be fairly easy. If yu give me some sizes, i'll make on and post a pic.

I've started making one but think i messed it up. My problem isn't the width of the"fingers", but bending them down and keeping from twisting them(so that when to two halves are put together the fingers ar parallel). I use a butane plumbing torch and pliers for bending. I need a good way to do it because reheating the metal to fix a mistake weakens the metal.

As well as how to make the bolt slots on top and holes on bottom perfectly aligned. If anyone has any idea's it would be appreciated.

First two T's in matt

As for the fingers I made them all oversized and havn't ground them down smaller yet. I am planning on using a deadbolt for actual sizing(fit it to the lock then make any necessary adjustments) , possibly with a very slight tapper but I am undecided.

Hello,

I own and operate the web site www.crypto.com, on which I maintain
a repository of most of my documents, papers, web pages, and
other writings on security and cryptology, including physical
security and locks. It is there primarily for my students and
professional colleagues, but the site is available for general use
to all.

I was unfamiliar with this web site until I noticed numerous hits
from it in my server logs. Apparently it is a message board devoted to
the study of lock picking.

I was surprised and disturbed to note here several images that have
been copied (without my permission) from my web site
(http://www.crypto.com/). In particular, there is an image above of
some Falle-Safe torque tools that was taken (and badly resized) from
/www.crypto.com/photos/misc/picks/falle-torque-variable.html
There may be others. I've not checked carefully.

Please remove these images (and any others taken from my web site)
immediately.

Linking to my web pages is fine (indeed, it's the accepted way of
referencing other people's material on the web), but unauthorized use
or copying of someone else's images or text is a violation of
copyright. When done without even acknowledgment of its source, as
it has been here, it is simply intellectual theft. (Basic copyright
rights are recognized, and enforceable, in virtually every country
connected to the Internet; you do not want to be on the wrong end of a
copyright claim.)

I have no idea what you're up to here, but I would assume that anyone
interested in picking locks as a hobby would be especially careful to
to avoid engaging in activity that might seem criminal or dishonest.

Forgive me for wondering what else, besides my images, the person or
people who took them is interested in stealing.

I'm not a user of this web site; contact me by email if you have any
questions. My email address is Edited out by Pheniox. I don't want any of you all trying to take care of this besides Me, Mr. Picks, Blackweave, or Varjeal. Mr. Blaze, the owners of this site have been notified and I am awaiting there responce on what to do about it.
I'm sorry if I appear to be unfriendly or uptight about this, but
whoever copied these photos and put them here hasn't exactly gotten
off to a good start with me. Presumably others whose images might
have been similarly mis-appropriated will feel much the same way.

It is understandable why Dr. Blaze is upset by the posting of pictures from his site. That is blatant plagerism, Varjeal could you just remove em.

... i always see hotlinked images here, which i've always found to be horrible practice. i see it everywhere on the internet though sadly. :(

Matt Blaze has the right to be upset, but in our defense, i'm pretty sure we all know where those images come from and all thank him for the great material he has offered up to the public, and for us to find it.

If someone wants to post a picture from another website, they simply give a link to it instead of using image tags... that way the URL is seen and credit is given where due. (link to the page it's on if possible instead of directly to the image.)

I am going to take care of this. However, in the mean time, I must ask everyone NOT to post anymore links from his page. This includes images.

I'd like to add to this.

Tagged images within posts should only be those that you have taken personally, or own the rights to. Any other images contained in your post, that you wish others to be able to view, should be referenced only by the original URL. This gives the author the recognition that he/she deserves and ensures the continuous strive towards a recognised respectable site proceeds with minimal interruption.

We have little control over the (occasional/new) bone-head user, who makes posts asking for information pertaining to illegal activities, other than to ridicule/rebuke/flame him/her. The regular user, however, is someone who should know better. It's obvious what Dr. Blaze now thinks of this forum. It's up to us to take the initiative and raise the level of professionalism.

If you want to include an image from another site, please check whether permission in granted to do so beforehand. Sometimes, there is a "You may/may not link to this site" message somewhere on a site. Please observe the express wishes of the site operator. If no message is displayed, take it that you do not have permission and contact the site operator.
Image If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!
