When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I like it mate if you ask me, having a pick instead of a knife is better. I like how you used the tooth pick/tweezer slots for a wrench i give it 10/10 I just a new bench i have to get to making new picks sometime its been w while since i posted new ones

Well here they are. I finally finished them to make a complete Full Suit.
Hope the picture came out alright, still have the same old camera. If not I will try a different method or lighting to achieve a better quality pic.

Thanks Schuyler. It has taken me long enough to finish them but I have been pre-occupied with vehicle issues.
Their really not for use on locks (just for looks mainly)but just show that there is no limit to ones imagination and anything is possible when it comes to making something.
Hope they inlighten others to explore and create more.

I've been sitting here chewing my knuckles, trying to think of something to say. In that time, two more posts have been made, and I still haven't thought of anything other than ...
WOW
Just wow.
Those are amazing. The shapes are perfect, and the finish is great. Obviously they aren't for picking, but you have gone and raised the bar so high, I am not sure how to get to that next level.
Truely amazing quality, and absolutely superior workmanship. You are truly a master.
Excuse me while I go figure out something that even comes close.

PUUURRRRRDYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
honnestly those picks are beautiful.
Should have the best pick makers / tool makers on this site time to time make things like that then put them up as annual prizes, such as best idea of the year, etc. can even put the LP101 logo on them. (If they have enough free time)
If its a dumb idea feel free to flame me....

Yes VERY good looking picks
A few questions
I know they look too good to use but have you used them, and if so, how well do they work?
Why is there is only 1 handle and what type is it?
What tool did you use to cut the basic outline and what material?
Once again those are BEUTIFUL picks
Still in awe,

Those would actually make some nice pick handles. If you made them a little oversized.
Especially if they could tie into Romstars royal family line of picks (proposed line of picks) that could make for a pretty hot set.

Jeez... I wish I had the kind of patience to make something like that. How long did you spend on those kaotik?

Don't propose anything to me, I am on my fifth set of prototypes.
I am still working out a few bugs with the additional picks.
I meant it this time, they are a coming. I just have to finish some orders for the regular King and Queen sets.
I am not sure how I would tie the suits into the royal family. Kinda hard to put them anywhere.

Oh! I hope this hasn't already been asked... Kaotik, what material do you use to make your picks out of?

If Kaotik would let me, I could try, but how would I integrate those shapes into the handles? Or anywhere else for that matter?
I love those "picks", but even Kaotik said they were more for decoration than anything else.
If anyone has some ideas, let me know and I will see what happens.

There is something already going around and Raimundo got props for his Bogota's which are wonderful and functional, yet I don't know if these could come close in comparison, I guess it would amount the votes if there were a poll. iNtago wrote:I know they look too good to use but have you used them, and if so, how well do they work?

In this this homebrew thread, I mentioned that I also made a medium hook pick that attaches the same way as the others and have used it to determine whether or not the handle gives good feedback, to my surprise it does. I have tried the Spade on a double sided wafer lock and it opened, but those are easy locks to begin with. There is only one handle because the pick blades are all interchangeable. I used a Dremel to do all the pick work made from: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/K ... Knives.jpg. The handle was cut out of #257 Aluminum Sheet .064x4"x10" distributed by K&S Engineering and can be found at some Ace Hardware locations and Hobby Shops, was cut out of the shape freehand drawn with a jewelers saw. About two weeks give or take a few days, it has taken me that long because vehicle problems had been taking up most of my free time, but could estimate the time to make in about a week with no disturbances.
You can see above what materials I used. I didn't want to re- copy and paste it...LoL
Hope I got all of you covered and if there is anything else just mention it.
