There are another my old picks(second). These were bad, because they were too agresive to the lock and the handles were too heavy. :(

Nice job on the picks. The tips of them look within reason to work pretty well by the looks of them.

Except for the "need more fine sanding" bit. I don't see how they could be to aggressive on the locks. Pick one and two of the first picture look really promising. What did you use for wood as the handles? It looks to me like a semi-circular piece (a dowl rod cut in half perhaps) or something like popsickle sticks wrapped in shrink tubing.

That's true. They are sharp. Sanding can be solution of the agresiviti. I wil try to improve them.

Handles are made of iron. The wooden piece is only for filling the notch.

Finally I find a word. The pick is soldered into the iron handle. The hole after notch is filled with a little piece of wood.

Iron..WOW. Are they heavy? How does the weight and balance feel when picking?

These look pretty good. After a little sanding and buffing, they should look fantastic :)

Keep up the good work.

On a side note, everybody should keep their eye out for my newest picks made of brass :) They should be done in a couple of days.

They are heavy for pocket wearing. They fits gut to arm. I can feel very well the lock - for this is heavy handle good. I have to try a bit of sanding.
I will post the result.

We'll have to see. Why do you think they will be impractical?
