When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Well, it's not that simple. For starters, each adjustable (there are 4 of them, double sided) are different. The blade widths vary from one to another. This is important for a snug fit. The flip side of each tool is the same size, but reversed for picking in the other direction.

So really, you need all 4 adjustables.

And then... the Non-adjustable double pronged have their place. You don't always want to grab an adjustable and set it up.

And then there's all those regular and twistflex wrenches. They've all got different blade widths, and sometimes have *just* the right wrench makes all the difference.

So... really... there aren't a whole lot superfluous tools in the set....

.... except those rakes. What a pile of donkey leftovers those things are. :P

The adjustable wrenches can be improved 10x over by one small mod,

Thread lock/glue/solder whatever the bolt side to the metal, then make a knurled thumb turn instead of the nut,

This would mean they are easily and quicly adjustable on site in situ, im really not sure why they are made like they are when most of his other stuff is quite good (although every tool i get i always seem to have to modify to get it to be 100% how i would like it),

i almost bought a set i'm glad i didnt. i made a few of the curved ones the hooks. if i place them over the template there almost perfect. i like them but the money i saved and i can only use them about half the time.
most of the time a average pick will be just fine. im finding out the hard way building your skill is what counts the most.
