Does anybody know where I can purchase a set of Falle picks. The only place I've been able to find them is at security.org And They make them practically impossible to get

The Falle tools are available from MBA not Security.org per se. Make friends with a locksmith and have him/her order them for you. Then make friends for me too.

Get them custom made from a machinest. Oh yeah dont even bother with a locksmith. They can loose their liscence for doing that.

Well maby then can loose their license in Oz, but in the US there are only a few states that have actual licenses to loose. I dont see how purchasing tools and giving them to a person would actually be a crime, as long as the person receiving said tools committed no criminal act with them. I may be wrong though, but I really really really hope im not.

Falle-Safe pick set is sold by MBA for $159.
You can get it from some european sites but you will pay the double or more just because they sell to everybody.
If you will pay anything to get Falle tools, you will get them.
Regards.

What's so great about falle picks? (Not saying they're bad, just wondering) There's not much info available.
They get mentioned a lot here but no specifics? what makes them good? Is it just that theyre made really well?
Who's used them? What's the next best after them? I hear people talk about LAB picks are good too, same q's, who's used those?
I can't afford much btw, but I'm still cuious.
thanks for any answers
The rakemaster.

Its not the picks that make up the most interesting part of the set, its the special tension wrenches available. Look at the pictures on security.org and you will see. The picks arent anything radically new, just extremely well engineered. There are no diamonds/balls/etc. You get a set of progressive hooks, and a few rakes. Personally I have never had the chance to use them, but i would love to.
I have owned picks from SouthOrd/Majestic/HPC/Petersen. With the exception of say HPC 2000 picks, and computer designed ones, theres not much difference in design here. Petersen has some unique picks though. The main difference is between contstruction of the picks. Majestic picks have never felt quite right to me... kinda mushy almost. HPC are okay, no complaints. Southord depends on the pick. Personally I am a big fan of their short hook as a good starting point. But ive noticed that they sometimes bend easily. Petersen picks look like your standard bits of spring steel with some comfortable handles though. Looks are deceiving here. I have found these picks to have a great feel. And if you do bend em, they are quite durable and easy to bend back. Or, bend slightly in the first place, for doing something special. And the Petersen trifold cases are simply wonderful. Definately a sweet piece of work.

Yeah, I also have the peterson pick set and I love them. They have the best handles of any of the picks I have felt and are relativly cheap. Just out of curiosity, do you prefer the blue plastic picks or the black rubberized ones? Personally I like the plastic ones better than the rubberized ones.

I'm quite near the channel irelands, does that make it any more likey that any shops around here that have lock-picks will have Falle-Safe ones?
Now im going to answer my own question! No, it won't because Falle-Safe have very few suppliers and they only sell to certified locksmiths.

G'day, to the best of my knowledge it is the unique shape of the picks and tension wrenches that make these nice picks. I believe the way they are manufactured are different from most which might add to the cost and reason why some may prefer these over others or visa versa. Not sure if the materials are much different to other picks as this is the last thing I check out because I know stuff all about metals and so forth.
I think this is the 1000th time i have posted this link but its great.

I have a Falle pick set - but for me the best ones are the HPC2000ds
I like the handle more on these.
I have never had the chance to use these Peterson picks, but they look good.
The steel quality of the HPCs is very good - very durable and stable even in extensive use.

Seeing as you like your HPCs better, feel like unloading that poor, useless Falle set on someone else?
