HTPK 36 vs Initial Super Picks Are they the same

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

HTPK 36 vs Initial Super Picks Are they the same

Postby pickmonger » 18 Mar 2006 19:09

Majestic Lock and Initial Securitie of France both sell similar lock pick sets

To me , they look like the both have the same profiles with different handles

Does anyone know if they are the same thing.

First two images of the Majestic HTPK20 and its cousin the HTPK36

and now 2 images of the Super Picks by Initial They may look a bit wider due to the image being over enlarged.

Unfortunately I do not own either sets

The intial style picks are 16 pieces double ended and reversable for 64 patterns.

I have searched the internet and only found them available at 2 places

MBA Usa (Mark Bates and Associates) and Zieh Fix (aka Wendt) out of Germany.

As you probably are aware the Majestic Picks come in either the HTPK 20 or HTPK 36

FYI the link at http://zieh-fix.com/Shop/en-us/dept_9.html includes instructions on how to use the Initial Picks.

They aren't rakes per se. Rather, a set of rocker/jiggle/rake a little bit picks. You can open a great deal of locks with them, but it takes a long time, as you have to try each pick 4 times (insert upsidedown as well)

They're not rakes, they're rockers. You shove 'em all the way in and bounce them up and down. If one doesn't work, try another. I could go into how they exploit the MACS weakness and the unique tension technique that is used with them and how they are my favorite picks and blah blah but I won't.

Initial and majestic are exactly the same, with the exception that the French ones have more picks.
