First good pick set.

I am new but not new to lock picking. I started off with a Prolok set. I am looking to upgrade to a SouthOrd 20 piece set. Is this a good set.

Depends on your $ range, if you have a bunch or littlre more by HPC, if you by SO's get the slim line set wether in US or out of coutry, and be prepared to spend a good three hours finishing and deburring them properly as if used right out the case you will die from pin dust inhalation

SO is a good cheap brand and the picks are durable. But i hated them and had to mod them to my style picking, also get a wiper blade insert and make a few tension wrenchs for the top of the plug, they give you the most room and best feedback, this is only my opinion but seems to work for me.

Anyway good luck SO is good and be careful with slim lines because as the name states they are slimmer.

go to lockpickshop.com and get either HPC or Peterson--I prefer Peterson; if you go with them get the 'just picks' set with the blue plastic handles, they're VERY good for the price.

Sweet i wouldn't mod peterson's i here there actually quite good, but still need finishing.

Refer to Shurbs pick making guide and go to the pick finishing section, he says all ya need to know.

So Peterson just picks with the blue handles are one of the best right. What aftermarket case is good for them.

IMO, any case that they would fit in, if they do not come in a case already.

I never purchased Peterson's Products so I wouldn't know.

You could also search for homebrew or homemade cases on this site if you interested in making you own, there should be some posts and maybe pictures about them.
