tension wrench from street sweeper bristle

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

tension wrench from street sweeper bristle

Can a bristle be made into a decent tension wrench by flattening it with a hammer? I ask because my coat hanger wrench is too big for a masterlock #3 Im working on and I got a spare bristle. Whatcha guys think? Too springy?

Your goign to have to have a read of site before posting as all your questions as a begineer are already answered,

Click on my www button for a good guide on picking and it shows how to make tension wrenches,

A street sweeper bristle doesnt need to be flattened as they are the right size to begin with as far as i can make out (never had any), the insert from a wiper blade is far better to use,

Forget coat hangers, paper clips and such like for doing anything with locks,

Glad to have you on the forum, lately, my most used tension wrench is a simple top-of-keyway style wrench made from a street sweeper bristle. They work very well.

You shouldn't need to use any type of torch for bending Street Sweeper Bristles or Winshield Wiper Inserts, they bend well without using heat. Unless you try to bend a really sharp 90 degree angle (instead of gradual) curve in a Bristle, other wise it may fray and/or crack.

(which you may not at this point) i'd reccomend hitting home despot or kmapart or the like for ~20$ you can get a benz-o-matic that's reasonably good, and fir ~15$ you cna get a mini butane one that will accomplish many of the milder steel things you may want to accomplish.
