What are your essential tools?

For a while I was making every pick I saw a pic of. I recently started slimming down my collection to bare basics and leaving the other styles and tools with my locks.

1 half daimond standard size
1 standard sized hook
1 generic rake
1 fat heavy tension wrench
1 skinny tension wrench
1 feather touch wrench

for auto
1 double sided tension wrench
1 FAT ball style pick

one spinner/heavy force turning wrench for turning locks with heavy return springs once picked.

The rest of my tools I really rarely use unless I want to try somthing new. what do you guys keep using?

Small hook, snake rake, generic rake, small tension wrench, large tension wrench. That's all I need for door locks. Automotive is another story.

I carry the same picks and a slimline 1/2 diamond, slimline hook, and a Bogota rake. I used to love feather touch tension wrenches but I don't seem to need them anymore. I should carry a double sided tension wrench with me but it doesn't fit very well in my little leather southord case.

When I am on the job I make sure that I have 2 of each
small diamond
large diamond
small hook , medium hook, large hook
half rake snake rake
deforest
boggatta rake

for tension wrenches carry 2 each light, medium ,heavy, feather, and double sided

plus a series of rakes I made by loosely following some radical key patterns
some auto jigglers
plug spinner
snap pick
pick gun
key extractors

off the job I have a jackknife pick with a hook.diamond, rake, and a key extractor

To be honest i only ever seem to use 2 depths of hooks and a selection of about 5 tension wrenches. Snake rake i havent used in probaly over a month. The diamonds i havent even used. Then it's me trusty letterbox tool if only could fit that in me pick case

All I really use are a selection of hooks and a couple of diamonds

Standard short
Slimline short
Slimline Long
Standard diamond
Slimline diamond

Peterson:
Short hook
Gem (Deforrester)

Then 3 southord twisted tensioners, 3 of which ive cut down for different kinds of locks
