Hey n00by,

I wouldn't give up explaining/showing what set you bought just because you couldn't get the image posted. You could always describe the set by typing. What make and what set did you buy? I would imagine most people on this site will know exactly what you bought if you say something like...I bought the SouthOrd MPXS-08 or the...

Well, I ordered individual picks and tension wrenches. I ordered from http://www.lockandsupply.com. I got RYT-MLPX-10(Mini Diamond Pick), RYT-RLPX-14(Bill Deforrest Hook pick), RYT-MLPX-14(Mini Blue Deforest Diamond), HPC LPX-10(Diamond Pick .022 w/handle), HPC STW-3(Tension wrench, DS Flex), HPC TR-12(Tension Wrench Single End 4-1/2"), HPC TR-22(Tension Wrench Tulip Med 4 1/4"), HPC TR-4(Tension wrench Rigid DBL End), HPC TR-9(Tension Wrench LT 5 1/4" DBL), and RYT RLPX-10(Full Diamond Lock Pick). I also ordered from the Peterson website (http://peterson-international.com) and got .6mm Peterson Gem, .6mm Peterson Hook and the Slender Gem. It kind of looks like a lot but it's only 9 picks and 5 tension wrenches.

LOL...when I was reading your description I was thinking...holy cow he got a lot of stuff and then you added "It kind of looks like a lot but it's only 9 picks and 5 tension wrenches." It seemed like you ordered a lot because the descriptions are pretty long. Sounds like you have yourself a pretty good selection going.

I thought you had bought a kit as opposed to individual picks and that's why I had suggested just letting us know what kit you bought. Now I know why you wanted to post the image. :shock:

I would definately say HPC because I use to have the pxs or psx-14, whatever it's called. So it didn't have any handles or anything and the HPC ones do, and they also look cooler than southords so I would just say HPC overall, I have definately gotten better with my new set of picks now.

Yeh if you didn't have handles to start with, i can imagine, but you don't have any experience with handled south ord. They look identicle, Ive been lucky enough to have a locksmith nice enough to put his pick in my hand and say compare, i used southord half-diamond and HPC half-diamond, like em both, work just as good, same thing! Only one has rivets

Nice Luke, you are one rich kid. I'm just kind of curious but is there a reason why some of the Peterson have blue and black handles? Also what picks do you use the most in your collection and how do you like them?
