When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.
can someone who owns one of these please measure the 'finger' width (the fingers that go into the lock)
i am planning on making a falle set of adjustable tension wrenches. Does anyone have any sugestions on what sizes to make the fingers (different from top to bottom?)
That particular wrench is specifically for car doors, and is scaled differently than one you'd use for houses. This is secondhand information, but I've read (and common sense suggests) that to really get the benefits of the Falle wrenches, you'll need to make copies of each size of the Falle wrenches. They're so good because they allow you to get such a precise fit.
CitySpider, I beleive your referring to something that was posted on yahoo locksports a while back. And, if I also remember correctly, it just wasn't designed to pick a standard pin tumbler lock. Something about width of the fingers.
It is refered to on their site as : RGN-216 Adjustable Double-Sided Car Tension Wrench Set (Special Design For Car ) , but when making this tool from scratch the fingers can be adjusted to best fit any lock you want.
