What's the essential pick and tensor needed?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Heya ya'll, I just wanted to konw whats the essential picks and tension wrench needed to a first newbie pick set. I have a small hook and a diamond. Thanks everyone!!!

If you already have a short hook and damiond I would say get a snake rake,ball or half ball mabey even a double ball,a short flat tension wrench and a short twistflex tension wrench.

Search for beginner pickset. There are dozens of these threads already. At least 3 new ones in the last 2 weeks.

I pick most locks with my Peterson Pry Bar flat tension wrench and a short hook pick. Thats all you really need for almost everything they sell at hardware stores.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I find a small diamond, a small hook and a snake, along with a double ended tension wrench with one end ground narrower that the other end
