HPC Emergency Pickset

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

HPC Emergency Pickset

Postby joecool2727 » 29 Mar 2004 19:04

I really like the Emergency Set from HPC but i cant get it from HPC because im not a locksmith. I also know that www.lockmasters.com sells this set but they only take credit cards and i currently dont have that either. So im asking does anyone have this particular set? How is it? Where did you get it? And lastly would anylocksmiths or people with credit cards be willing to buy it and then sell it to me? Thanks for your help.

Heres a link to the set. http://www.hpcworld.com/lockhpc/p_emer6.htm

Suggestions

Figure out what your most used and most useful picks are. Probably a half hook, snake rake, long ripple rake, half diamond etc. Buy/make them without any additional handle. Drill a hole through all of them, and keep them together with a keyring/small bolt, or why not just rubber band them all together with a tension wrench running down the side? Or forgo the rubberband, and use the sleeve that some plastic combs come in, which is similar to the HPC sleeve.

Suggestion one: do what Chuck said.

Suggestion two: I'm NOT SUGGESTING that you buy from Lockpicktools, I had a borderline unpleasant experience with them (as well as one or two pleasant ones), but they sell something similar.

Thank you both for your replies. Yes i was thinking about just making my own, doesnt seem like it would be too hard but i just wanted to see how the one from HPC was. Also, the set your talkin about from www.lockpicktools.com i already have, i just wanted to see how this one is because i like its case better and how its so slim. Thanks.
